The Second Mayor Delegation organized by Canada China Investment Association visits China Red Sandalwood Museum

    On the morning of Sep 28th, the Second Mayor Delegation organized by Canada China Investment Association visits China Red Sandalwood Museum under the leadership of Sophia Sun. Curator of China Red Sandalwood Museum Chan Laiwa and Deputy Curator Chi Chungsui warmly receive the delegation, as well as exchange gifts and pose for a group photo with the guests.

 

    It is reported the delegation consists of eight Mayors(Deputy Mayors) , including Deputy Mayor of Toronto Denzil Minnan Wong, Mayor of Windsor Drew Dilkens, Mayor of Burlington Rick Goldring, etc. The head of the delegation Sophia Sun says that it is the second time for her to lead a Mayor Delegation to China, and the event gets great support of Canadian Federal Government, provincial governments and municipal governments. She emphasizes that the Mayors are looking forward to appreciating the development condition of China and enhancing communication and cooperation with more Chinese city in the future.

    The Canada China Investment Association (CCIA) is a Canada-China investment and bilateral trade facilitator founded in 2008 as a not-for-profit business association. CCIA is an advocate for friendship and culture exchanges between China and Canada and a catalyst for economic trade and Sino-Canadian investment.

Nine Mayors from Waterloo, King, Belleville, and St. Catherines etc. attended, and visited 9 cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an where can mostly represent the economy development situation in China. This trade expedition marked a new chapter for the economic and trade exchanges between Chinese market and Ontario.

 

Currently CCIA has its head office in Markham. CCIA’s network of staff offer programs and services in both Canada and China, and work to introduce the Canadian business community to opportunities in China’s emerging markets with a platform for business, financial and real estate investment.  Through its services and events, CCIA provides Sino-Canadian business communities with business insight, intelligence, connections, and networks that help resolve the inevitable challenges of doing business in another country.
