Ziroatkhon Mirziyoyeva Wife of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s President Paid a Visit to the China Red Sandalwood Museum

Ziroatkhon Mirziyoyeva, wife of the Republic of Uzbekistan's President and her delegation accompanied by wife of Chinese Ambassador to Uzbekistan paid a visited to the China Red Sandalwood Museum on May 14 2017. Ms. Chan Laiwa,  vice chairman of the Committee for Liaison with Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese of CPPCC, Chair-lady of Fu Wah International Group and Director of China Red Sandalwood Museum, Mr. Chiu Yung, member of Standing Committee of CPPCC and President of Fu Wah International Group, Ms. Chiu Man Jenny and Ms. Ng Ching, Board Directors of Fu Wah International Group warmly welcomed their arrival. 

 

 

Ms. Mirziyoyeva and Ms. Chan embraced each other like old friends from the start.

 

It reported that Ms. Mirziyoyeva came to China to attend the Belt and Road Forum with her husband. She specially proposed to see the China Red Sandalwood for the Chinese ambassador to Uzbekistan during her visit. After receiving this message from the Foreign Ministry, Ms. Chan said it was a great honor for us to take this foreign affair and Ms. Mirziyoyevas proposal was the appreciation for Chinese culture and confirmation for our museum. We would try best to receive their arrival and make our own contributions to this Belt and Road Forum.

After entering the hall and taking a group photo, Ms. Mirziyoyeva was greatly attracted by these exhibits displayed in the museum and highly praised it is amazing and they are the unique artworks in the world.She kept asking when this museum was built, was it real gold covered the throne and these wood artworks had been painted etc and Ms. Chan explained one by one. it is really beautiful and this is only place where I can appreciate this artworks. I hope I can have time and enjoy themMs. Mirziyoyeva warmly shook hands with Ms. Chan and said.     

 

Ms. Mirziyoyeva was carefully appreciating the red sandalwood model of Ten-thousand Spring Pavilion

 

Mr. Chiu Yung specifically explained to Ms. Mirziyoyeva an old Beijing city Gate model of Yongdingmen made of rare red sandalwood and Yinchen wood during visiting. She was very interested in this model and surprised how it was made and why the color was so closed to the Great Wall. Then she was attracted by another exhibit, the twelve red sandalwood screens of Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival Painting, and the introduction characters on the first screen, which was engraved in yellow boxwood. When they came to the red sandalwood model of Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest in Temple of Heaven, she was really amazed what such a big architecture and how it was made by red sandalwood. It was more beautiful and exquisite than the real one.

Lacking of time, Ms. Mirziyoyeva has to be take a quick visit of museum. Then they came to a meeting room and presented gifts to each other. Ms. Chan presented a red sandalwood Ruyi, symbolizing the friendly relationship between China and Uzbekistan, embroidery of Five Oxen Painting, to Ms. Mirziyoyeva and the red sandalwood Four Treasures of Study(writing brushink stickink slab and paper) to President. Ms. Mirziyoyeva also showed Uzbekistans traditional handmade wood box inlaid with shell and painted with the old Silk Road specially to Ms. Chan. She expressed heartfelt happiness to Ms. Mirziyoyeva for her visit to China Red Sandalwood. They could meet each other because of this Belt and Road Forum and hoped she could come again. wife of Chinese Ambassador to Uzbekistan said, China and Uzbekistan had maintained friendly communication and exchanges from the past and the old Silk Road passed though Uzbekistan. It was her honor to meet Mr Chan, who was so excellent and had a happy family. Finally she wished Ms. Chan live a long health life.

Ms. Chan presented the red sandalwood Ruyi to Ms. Mirziyoyeva.

 

Ms. Mirziyoyeva gave a hug to Ms. Chan and was reluctant to say goodbye. She said she would bring her children come again. Ms. Chan officially offered an invitation and hoped the river of friendship between the two peoples run a long time.
